Endorsement by The Oath of Office is only available to candidates and politicians who have their TPC certification in good standing (i.e., no outstanding unresolved complaints, etc).
While having their TPC Certification and being able to display the TPC badge in their website and email signature line is arguably more valuable than any endorsement alone, we would also like to offer endorsement to any TPC-certified candidate in races where they are the only TPC-certified candidate running. In this way, we hope to bring as much of an advantage as we can with no disregard to other TPC-certified candidates.
As of November 2025, The Oath of Office has updated its endorsement rules:
Only TPC-certified candidates are considered for endorsement.
Candidates must have already filed for their race and gotten past any primaries before consideration for endorsement.
As of 3 months prior to the candidate's election, if the candidate is the only candidate in the race that is TPC-certified, then barring any extenuating circumstances, The Oath of Office will award the candidate its endorsement.
For the time-being (this may change in the future), if there are multiple TPC-certified candidates in the race, then The Oath of Office will abstain from awarding an endorsement in that race. In the case where a candidate applies for and earns TPC-certification prior to the race but after another TPC-certified competitor in the race has already been awarded certification, The Oath of Office shall neither award the newly certified candidate endorsement nor retract the endorsement from the endorsed candidate.
To apply for endorsement:
Make certain that all of the conditions above apply, then contact your liaison listed in your candidate Journey document.
NOTE: An endorsement by The Oath of Office is not the same as TPC certification. Certification reflects personal character, integrity, and commitment to constituents under the articles of The Politician's Creed. A TPC-certified candidate is certified whether in office, campaigning, or in-between campaigns. Whereas an Oath of Office endorsement is simply the Oath of Office Inc's selected candidate preference for a particular race. In the case of multiple TPC-certified candidates in a particular race, The Oath of Office's current position is to focus on the value of certification and not to play favorites among the TPC-certified candidates in the race.
If you receive an Oath Of Office endorsement, you will have access to:
Visibility on The Oath of Office's endorsements page and rights to espouse yourself as a candidate endorsed by The Oath Of Office.
Ongoing guidance available from LoD’s strategic advisors and task forces—built for recall, conversion, and community-based accountability initiatives.
BETA: We are currently testing voter rolls email campaign support. Should this pass all hurdles, it will become a standard part of our endorsed candidates' support.
